The HOYS Practice 2008 - The Start

After many phone calls and texts, wondering where the write up is - here goes, hope you are not all disappointed!

THE HOYS PRACTICE 2008

A sunny September day, the tent had been beautifully erected by amateurs and decorated out with balloons and pictures of the team throughout 2008 - some of them more flattering than others. The fridge was full, the ponies were ready, the bouncy castle was waiting, and as the first horsebox pulled in tooting its horn - we knew it was going to be a great day - and it was......

The Start

With our self appointed waitresses, Jane and Gill on hand to serve chilled Pimms to all arriving, it was a very civilised start to a day which was about celebrating the teams acheivements this year but also about preparing all the kids and the ponies for HOYS!!

With the children split into groups we started with the practice, all of them doing an individual show, with the music and the clapping, they behaved (on the whole) really well. However we did have an inter-loper, who we later found out had not qualified and should not actually have been practising at all. So Ms Choynowski on Deflated, led by Mr McCall - we know who you are and next year we will want to check you qualification card before entering our ring!!! Click here for all the photos....
