We were asked by Ponies UK to provide the ponies for their Judges Assessment day on Wednesday. So along we went and presented 6 combinations. For the Show Hunters, Charlotte Beesley-Eades rode Tamarind Fascination as a practice for her first ever time at HOYS. Our other show hunter was the new combination of Annandale Darcy and Georgia Renshaw-Smith. This pair are also going to HOYS, it will be Georgia's first time there too and this proved an excellent first outing for this new combination. Our two show ponies - Firstly Duncan Roberts partnered Debonair, 4 years old, owned and bred by Debbie Astbury, this was Merlin's first outing ever and he did us all proud by behaving impeccably and not being phased at all by what was asked of him. Alyshia Haddon also rode in the Show Pony section with Strinesdale Distinction, she was also using this as a practice for HOYS as its her first time there too this year! Alyshia's sister, Marissa, took part in the M&M section with her Novice M&M First Ridden, who is just getting miles on the clock and is looking to next year. Shannon Meeres on Thistledown Boyzone was in the M&M section as a First Ridden too and was using this as a practice for the last HOYS qualifier this weekend. Fingers crossed Shannon!
Back at the yard, we are getting prepared for our HOYS practice this weekend. After Blenheim Horse Trials were cancelled, Kevin packed up the marquee and sent it to us early to set up. With Paul and Lisa helping us, it had turned dark (very dark!!) before it was actually finished but it seems to be up correctly and now all ready for the weekends entertainment.
