After a hectic few weeks, we decided to get away for 2 days, so booked the Euro Star and nipped over to see Mickey, Minnie and friends in Euro Disney - much to Julies disgust! 'Theres something not right about people dressed up in plastic suits!!' Anyway despite all the protesting Julie was even excited when Baloo the Bear invited her for a photograph in the bushes! (No Comment!)

With the rain now pouring in Paris as hard as it was at home, we got out our attractive yellow macs and decided to head to the indoor rides!!!
Being in a queue with a whole bunch of little children for Space Mountain didn't really put our minds at ease when we shot out of the main station at what felt like 100mph and then proceeded to do hand brake turns, go upside down and corkscrew - all in the pitch black. FUN! (Not the word Julie used beginning with F)
We then decided that the Tower of Terror was next on the agenda - MORE FUN!! In the queue we discussed how this was so much more relaxing than a couple of days somewhere hot beside a pool, with a cocktail (NOT). And moments later we were not to be disappointed when we were dropped in a pretend broken lift shaft from 15 floors up!(Not for the faint hearted, those with a nervous disposition, bad back or motion sickness - we had them all)
We headed home to discover that a lot of the Midlands were flooded. Our school was under a foot of water and the stream at the bottom of Field Aston flooded and as it kept raining so badly it could not be cleared until the next day.
However even the downpours couldn't ruin the weekends plans for the birthday girls - Emma and Caitlin. They got together with a bunch of friends to celebrate Emma's 16th on Friday. A white limo whisked the eight of them away to the Teppanyaki restaurant in
Birmingham for what sounds like an amazing meal. Meanwhile Sally and Michael home from their Vintage Car Tour
of America met up with us and Paul and Lisa, home from their holiday, to nip out for dinner while the kids were away.
Back home and the house decorated out, we all had a bit of a dance, well except Kelly. Unfortunately when Kel was getting into the limo she fell off the curb and twisted her ankle. Next morning the ankle had ballooned and we ended up for 3 hours in A&E only to be told that it wasn't broken. Kelly, ever philosophical said - 'Well no more limo's for me!' (Like it was the limo's fault!!!!) Get better soon Kel - HOYS practice only round the corner!
Anyway another eventful weekend! Happy Birthday to Emma and Caitlin, also to Stuart and to Georgia Renshaw-Smith who all had their birthdays within days of each other.
We also want to wish Waxwing Tiffanys new owners - Rachel and Tilly all the best with her and Good Luck at HOYS! And Catwalk II is now settled in her new home in Cantebury with Francesca, we wish you all the best with her and hope you have lots of fun and success.
