Report on the weekends goings on by the Pong.....
Julie Cook would have liked to have gone to Mamma Mia, however she didnt and we can now only fill you in from here...

Friday night (and the lights are low.. ) and a massive pink limo drives into Field Aston. To which Julie says, 'I wonder what nutter in the street has ordered that?'
Five minutes later we were all sipping champagne inside. Neil our driver said that it was the first time he had ever done a run to Pizza Hut in a limo. After a
very delicious pizza, we headed to the cinema to watch Mamma Mia. It was an amazing film, brilliant songs and a great cast although Telford didnt seem big on dancing so we did attempt to educate them. Our limo waiting outside whisked us home ready for a hectic showing weekend.
NORTH OF ENGLAND - 12.07.08

Starting a fabulous weekend for the Wyn Jones family, Cerys won her 133cms HOYS Show Hunter Pony class with Pennymore Quillet. Arthur and Cerys have been very close up to now with a 2nd at Staffs Country Festival but this win was very special as it was the first time Cerys has qualified for HOYS. Arthur and Cerys then went onto be Champion Show Hunter Pony!!!
Another result in the 133cms Show Hunter Pony was Rebecca Anderson on Parkhill Beckham, after already qualifying for HOYS at the Royal Show, the pressure was off and she gained a 3rd today, once again upping her tally of placings this year on this 5 year old pony.
Also at North of England, Waxwing Pastille ridden by Freddy was 2nd in the M&M Lead Rein and won a lovely cuddly neighing pony.
CHARD - 13.07.08
After a very short celebration on Cerys and Maries success on Saturday evening, we left for Chard. However Cerys and Maries run of success was not to end, Rivenhall Height of Fashion went into the 128cms HOYS Show Pony and came second - even better - qualified for HOYS!! Two tickets in one weekend for the Wyn Jones family - well done to the Angelsey contingency.
The rest of the day was near misses - Chloe Renshaw-Smith on Chaseford Aloof were 2nd in the HOYS First Ridden, even though it was a bit disappointing it was another good result for this ever improving pair. After a poor pull, Georgia on Locky came up to the 3rd in the HOYS 122cms Show Hunter Pony after a polished show, only just missing qualifying.
Sam Coates on Whalton Grace and Favour were 3rd in the HOYS Small Hack class, followed by Emma Jackson and Highmead Sheer Chance who also took 3rd in the 148cms Show Pony.
It was definately a 13th kind of day, nearly being run over by a loose horse, 2 broken cheek pieces and a kick on the head - not from one of the ponies but from one of the riders. We were glad July the 13th was at an end.
Off to Stithians....
A few problems on arriving at Stithians, Mrs Sonnex sorted them all out and the NFU rescue sorted the rest. Thank you to Mrs Fox for her understanding!!
After a lasagne and Love Actually night we had a mixed Monday. The food was good, the company was great, the ponies were well behaved - two more near misses but the journey was very very long. If anyone mentions Stithians next year they are driving!!!!!
ps-Amy hates purple and pink !!
