The Royal Show

DAY 1 - Thursday
Today me, julie, fiona and my mum went to the royal show. I rode pebbly pepperpot and she is my best friend .We were pulled in any order and I was nearly in the middle of the line.
After about the 4 th pony did its show it started to thunder, hail and rain and no one liked it. In the middle of the class I cuddled into pepper. I thought I did a good conformation in the end the judges added up the marks and they did it in reverse order and I WON !
But in the championship Katie won and I was happy for her!

DAY 2 - Saturday
Noone could have imagined the weather at the Royal show could have been so erractic. Just as on Thursday, one minute Saturday was bright sunshine and the next torrential rain, with so many clothes changes in the morning, by the afternoon everyone had given up and resigned themselves to getting wet.
While Louise was away at a wedding, Rebecca Anderson came along with us and did not let us down in the HOYS 133cms Show Hunter Pony class, where she came second and qualified for HOYS. After having been so close so many times in the previous qualifiers - this was a well deserved result.
Alexa on Fofsway Perdita was pulled top again in her Show Pony First Ridden section and just as she was standing in line the whole of the white ring fencing behind her blew over - not the most settling incident for a class of First Riddens! Despite this they ended up 3rd, which given the ring conditions was a very good result.
As ever, Sam Coates got rained on! We dont think we can name a show where Sam has not got soaked, nearly blow off or snowed on this year. Grace is actually getting quite used to it and we are sure that if it was sunny both of them may find it a little strange. Another consistent result though - Sam and Whalton Grace and Favour came 2nd in the HOYS Small Intermediate Show Riding Type.
And Congratulations to Sam on gaining her results - the first Team Member with a Degree!!
