Probably most people now know that Kate Pong gave birth to 5 gorgeous chocolate puppies on the Thursday of BSPS Champs. We had already named them - Bobbi, Tyra, Beyonce, Barack and Earl. Unfortunately George Bush was the little runt of the litter and was dead on delivery so is now buried at Long Barn.

So many people asked about Kate at the Champs and we had so many phone calls, that Julie Cook (in her infinite wisdom) decided that she should really make an announcement of the Pongettes arrival in the Times. Little did we know what a can of worms this was going to open......
On Tuesday 1st September The Times ran Kate's good news in their Births, Marriages and Deaths section. On Wednesday morning we received a phone call from the Newport Advertiser who had come across the announcement and dug a little deeper, only to realise that Kate pong was a dog and the quintuplets were in fact a litter of puppies. They then ran the story on the front page on Thursday with the headline ' The Pongette quintuplets cause a stir'. We all had a real laugh about it. We bought a whole load of the papers and posted them off to friends thinking that was it. Oh No it wasn't!
Our friend Vera in Scotland messaged first thing this morning to say that Kate Pong had featured in Little John's column in the Daily Mail. Apparently he still has not cottoned on that she is a dog and is bemused that a single mother with the surname Pong would name her children after ' a model, an american pop star and the American president!!' - In his words!! We were still laughing about this, when the Shropshire Star called as they wanted to run the story. Ok, at this point we felt it was going a little too far. Kate and the pongettes are amazing but how could 4 lines of text in The Times cause so much interest??

Hanging up from that Interview we started breakfast. Phone rings again (This must be a wind up this time!!!) It was a reporter from The Sun who thought the story was brillant and waned to run it. He said he was sending a photographer out straight away after interviewing us. At this point we called everyone we knew who could possibly have got someone to wind us up. However, an hour later the Sun photographer pulled up in the yard and we have been in a photo shoot for the past several hours.
We thought everyone would appreciate these further trials and tribulations of being the Kate Pong.
We are off to speak to Max Clifford about her future.......
ps. We are starting a campaign to keep Kate Pong at the top of Google, she is at the moment ranked No 1 in G.B and internationally but Kate Pong in Hong Kong is vying for top position, so if you get a chance Google her!!!
