Jessie Duncalf

Hi my name is Jessie Alice Duncalf, but lots of people call me 'Bear'. I have been called this since I was born. I am 10 years old, unfortunately I have a December birthday! I have an amazing pony called April who I do workers with. I have one sister called Poppy and an older brother called Josh.

The pony I have to show in M&M this year is Dykes Diplomead aka 'Barney.

He is a 5 year old black Dartmoor pony who is FAB! We have already done 2 shows on him this year and we came 1st and 2nd, I am really looking forward to this season and would really love to qualify for HOYS. Barney was bred by Miss Anne Rigby, his sire is Hisley Diplomat and his dam is Dykes Daisy Mead. I think his name is quite interesting because it is made up from both of his mum and dads names. This year I will share the ride with my sister Poppy, we can both do first ridden and Poppy wants to do ridden small breeds too. Barney is a really nice friend. He sometimes gets the nickname Chimp as he wobbles his lips and looks like he is talking. He is a really easy pony to ride and I have lots of fun on him, I also love hacking down the lanes and I think he does as well, because he loves to be ridden. I love Barney so much, I know we are going to have lots of fun together.
