Emma Jackson

Hello my name is Emma Jackson and i am 15 years old. I live in Rossendale in Lancashire and I am in year 10 at BRGS. My Mum and Dad are Paul and Lisa. I have one sister called Becky who goes to Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham. I have two toy poodles called Crunchie and Thierry. I have an amazing time going down to Fiona & Julies at the weekends, we have such a laugh! Working, riding and the odd party!!!   Thank you both xxxx

I love riding, friends, family, hockey, chocolate, sleep, shopping and loads of sports. I have been riding since I was 5 years old and I've loved it ever since! I have been going to Julies's from when I was seven years old. I have had two lead rein show ponies, (Haighend Limelight and Oakvalley Georgette) and one lead rein M&M (Rookery Souffle). I went from Souffle onto Colbeach Sensation, my 12.2 Show pony. We had so many results, including - 2nd at HOYS 2002, 1st and Reserve Champion at HOYS, 3rd at  RIHS and 1st in the Blue Riband in 2003. In 2004, Sensation was 13 years young and we had another great year. We were 3rd at HOYS, 5th at the International and went Champion in the Dennybeck at the BSPS Summer Champs. Seni was with us for 3 years, then we retired her to the Romanno Stud in Scotland. This year she had her first filly foal called Emma! She is now expecting her second this year.

I then moved onto a 13.2 novice show pony - Kingsford Sweet Story. She was a bay mare called Mary and even in our first novice year,we did an open at Royal Lancas and qualified for HOYS. In 2005 she won many classes - Midland Counties, BSPS Scottish, Cheshire County & Reserve Champion, Scottish Horse Show and Champion, Dabbs Masters and Reserve Champion. She was also 5th at the RIHS. She was then sold on the yard to Rebecca Anderson.

The ponies I have for this year are.....

Highmead Night Surprise.                         QUALIFIED ROYAL INTERNATIONAL 2008

Gem is a 6 year old bay mare who Julie bought as a 3 year old from Jane Mabbett of the Highmead Stud. She has a fantastic temperament and is so easy. In her first year. in 2006 she won many many classes but some of the highlights are BSPS Summer Champs Show Pay Show Hunter Pony Champion and Dabbs Scottish Masters Champion Show Hunter Pony.

In 2007 we had a great year, winning North of England & Reserve, NPS Area 5 and Champion and Shropshire & West Midlands. She was 3rd at HOYS, 3rd at the Royal International and 3rd in the Blue Riband. Also at the BSPS Summer Champs she was Champion Young Show Hunter Pony and Reserve Champion Novice Show Hunter Pony. I am really looking forward to this year on her.

Highmead Sheer Chance         QUALIFIED ROYAL INTERNATIONAL 2008

                                                  Qualified HOYS 2008

Jimmy is my 7 year old, 14.2 dark bay show pony. He is a great character. Last year we did quite a few novice classes and he won nearly all of them - Northern Horse, BSPS Scottish, NPS Scottish and BSPS Area 6. We then started HOYS qualifiers and he won and qualified at New Forest, despite the conditions. He was also 3rd at Mid Herts and BSPS Summer Champs HOYS class. This year will be my first full season in Open with him.

Yealand Myth                         QUALIFIED ROYAL INTERNATIONAL 2008

Halle is my 8 year old, 15h Show Hunter pony. She was my Christmas present in 2006 which was amazing and we had a great first year last year - even if I cant walk or run in my long boots! We came 6th at Horse of the Year Show and 6th at the Royal International. We won two International qualifiers last year - Area 9b and Area 1a and were second at Shropshire & West Mid qualifier. In the HOYS qualifiers we won Midland Counties, were 2nd at the Royal, BSPS Scottish and the Great Yorkshire - so it was quite a first year. Cant wait for the 2008 season on her!

Thimbley Final Edition

QUALIFIED ROYAL INTERNATIONAL 2008

QUALIFIED HOYS 2008

Julie and Fiona bought Henry as a bit of a project and asked me if I would ride him at a couple of shows. He is a 14h Show Hunter Pony, our first outing was at Area 15, where he won his Royal international class and qualified and then went onto take the Championship. Our next time out was at North of Engand Spring, where I was pulled top in a huge class and stayed to win. I am delighted that I have been asked to ride him!
