Caitlin Galbraith

Hello! My name is Caitlin Galbraith. I am 12 years old and I come from Ayr in Scotland. My Mum and Dad own Ayr Equestrian which is a tack shop, riding school and livery yard. I have one brother called Elliot he is fourteen and loves tractors! I spend a lot of time down at Fiona and Julies which means tons of travelling. When Im at home I have two jack russells called Honey and Bramble and some rabbits that keep having babies.

At the HOYS practice we all had

       to wear something red!

I have 3 ponies at the moment, one of them is called Strinesdale Distinction he is my 14.2 show pony. He is bay gelding and is a very nice mover. Then there is the best one of all Groveside Bellboy he is dark bay  and will be 14 this year he is a gelding aswell. He has a lovely nature and is a school master and I love him to pieces! The last of my three ponies is called Giselle Of Brynoffa. She is  coming 4 this year, and she has one of the most loveliest temperaments a horse could have. She is a bright bay mare.

QUALIFIED ROYAL INTERNATIONAL 2008

Last year I didn’t do much on Sparky because my mum and dad only bought him a halfway through the season my first outing with him was Northern Horse Show and I got 2nd, I also qualified him for HOYS. Then the next show I went to with him was Bakewell, I got 3rd I was pleased. The next main show I went to was Summer Champs, I did ok with him. I got 6th and I did the young Judges with him as well.

Then came HOYS I didn’t do as well as I would have liked to but it was his first time there. Hopefully Sparky and I will have a good 2008 now that I have got to know him & I Know What he is Capable of !!!!!

We have sold Sparky to Alyshia - Good Luck I hope you have as much fun on him as I did x

Groveside Bellboy:

I have had Billy for 2 years now, and he is great! My first year in 2006 was brilliant I had a fantastic year that I couldn’t have ever had again I won nearly everything I entered for. The 2 best wins in 2006 was when I was champion show pony at the Royal Highland Show, and then the other best win was at Strathalan when I won the small intermediates with him and qualified for HOYS . It was the best year I had ever had with any of my ponies so far. 2007 was a good year too but not as good as 2006. I qualified for RIHS first time out at Ayr Show but I didn’t end up going because of the ground. I didn’t mind though I wanted to do what was best for Billy. I then tried qualifying for HOYS but this took a little while I kept getting seconds so that was a bit bugging. Then at Summer Champs I eventually did it! It was the best feeling ever, because I think that would have been my last year at HOYS as an intermediate. HOYS was really good with him because he couldn’t have behaved any better and my show was foot perfect This year we are going to give him off to chill out, and then next year we are thinking of bringing him out as a veteran. I am excited about that! The past two years with Billy has been excellent I couldn’t have wished for 2 more brilliant seasons and a better pony.

Giselle Of Brynoffa:

I just got Ellie, and I love her already she is very mature and has a lovely nature. She has excellent paces and I am looking forward to doing some novice classes on her hopefully this year and doing some opens next year.
